Been scrolling through a lot of art today...on my 21st century Tom Thomson. Anyway, I have just come across this collection of self portraits by filmmaker and photographer Sam Taylor Wood. It didn't take much to transform me into an admirer of her work.
"Taylor-Wood’s work examines the split between being and appearance, often placing her human subjects – either singly or in groups – in situations where the line between interior and external sense of self is in conflict."
