Dickens Beverages Co. [DRINKS]

The organic wave is splashing with full force! We've got Whole Foods popping up like Starbucks, plus it's never been... more cool to a vegan. The folks over at Dickens have taken up this mission and have crafted 100% organic, locally sourced drink mixes. A Toronto based company that have created there own brand of ciders, caesars, and bloody mary's. Co-founded by trained and chef and mixolist, Dickens Beverage mixes are known for merging high quality Organic Ingredients with Craft Brewing to produce nectars of the Gods.

Let's hope they bring on an organic penis colada mix... see what I did there?

KFC's Double Down Sandwich Uses Chicken Instead Of Bread [FOOD]

The McGangBang now has a worthy competitor...dare I say adversary, both of whom are fighting for human artery domination!

Stats?
Two pieces of bacon and two slices of cheese (Swiss & Pepperjack) smothered with the "Colonel’s Sauce" (pause.) with two fried chicken fillets sans/as buns.

Currently only being test marketed (Check the commercial!) in certain states in the U.S. it'll take some time, if ever for the general masses to get their hands on this crazy sandwich. I wait patiently.

The McGangBang: a McChicken Sandwich Inside a Double Cheeseburger [FOOD]

LOL I've never heard of this until today, but apparently it's something of a cult phenomenon. Various Youtube videos chronicling the successful orders by name. There is even a Myspace page!

I'm going to try this tonight...who knows, it may replace my "Mini Mac" (Double cheeseburger, dressed with only Big Mac condiments) as the on the cheap sandwich of choice.

Wah Too's, Hong Shing's? Naaah son!

A popular restaurant in Chinatown has been shut down by Toronto Public Health after a rat was caught on camera roaming inside.

A passerby walking on the street shot a video of a rat in the window of Happy Seven restaurant on 358 Spadina Avenue, and posted it on a popular Toronto blog website Wednesday.

A public health representative told CP24 the eatery would be closed down after they saw the rodent on television Thursday morning.

An inspector was sent to the restaurant on October 2, but officials said there was no evidence of a rodent problem then.

The entire city block, which is in the Dundas Street and Spadina Avenue area, will be inspected, the rep says.

For more information on the city's food premises inspections, visit Toronto Public Health's dine-safe website.
