2009 Gullwing-America 300 SL Panamericana [CARS]
There has been a influx of retro themed automobiles over the last few years, but the Gullwing has to be my favourite, and dare I say, the best of the bunch. Originally designed in 1951, the classic is now modern. Priced at around $140K it's not for most folks, but we can dream.
The 2009 Gullwing-America 300 SL Panamericana is the brainchild of Arturo Alonso, the same engineer behind the Bentley S3 E concept. With that model already on its way to market, Alonso has turned his attention to the Gullwing. With a body of fiberglass-reinforced aluminum over a powder-coated steel chassis, the Panamericana will apparently draw its power from Mercedes' own M-133-55 engine, the same 5.5-liter V8 underpinning the SLR McLaren's supercharged unit, albeit tuned to produce 370 horsepower. Plans are also afoot to make a smaller V6 available, either mated to a six-speed manual or a seven-ratio Speedtronic automatic transmission.

Toyota MR2 AKA Prius coupé [CARS]
Discontinued in 2007, the Lotus designed, Toyota MR2 rests as an alumni in the higher driving institution of racing, street and track alike. It now seems to that it is to be revived as a hybrid (wait for it...) between the orginal roadster, and the tree-huggers favourite, the Prius. Rumored to be priced reasonably between 30-40k, I can see a vehicle like this getting some traction on the road.

Lamborghini "Lord Have Mercy" 'lago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce
I have really no valid reason to have to make it from 0 to 60 mph in about 3 seconds, but it'd be fun. And with 670 horses, and a top speed of 212 mph that ginger-bread man would not stand a mothafu*kin chance!

Grean & Mean Driving Machine!
Details are scarce, including the official name of this beautiful piece of machinery. Nonetheless, it's set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. You can shut down any major event, and pick up that sexy tree-hugging chick on the way! SWEET!

Obama's Presidential Limo Will Be a 'Rolling Tank With Windows'
The inauguration of Barack Obama will not only bring about a wholesale turnover in the political leadership of the country but it will also unveil the newest in a long line of Presidential limos.
According to Presidential vehicle experts, the new limo is a beast-like General Motors truck-based Cadillac that is so tough it's like a 'rolling tank with windows.'
Among the vehicle's main features are windows that are 5 inches thick, 19.5-inch Goodyear RHS tires (same as super tough trucks), and possibly even a lock safety mechanism that seals off the car like a bank vault in case of an emergency.
Because the Secret Service keeps details of the limo understandably private, even the most knowledgeable security experts don't really know how much gadgety tech is being installed in the new ride. But it's not stopping them making a few informed guesses.
In an interview with CNN, security expert Ken Lucci says rubber gaskets likely protect the car against chemical weapons and that the body will be made out of a tougher material than before. The most recent limo used by President Bush used some combination of a dual hardness steel, aluminum, titanium and even ceramics to break up possible projectiles. And there are usually steel overlaps that cover any gaps a door might leave.
Despite the immense secrecy, reports have leaked that the limo also comes with a 10-CD changer, which will inevitably end up playing Obama favorites like Steve Wonder and Bob Dylan. We're surprised there's no Blu-ray or Wii in there, but we're pretty sure of one thing: The limo will be a Zune-free zone, especially considering the most recent reports.

Would you buy a Hyundai if Prada designed it?

I'm sure Mario Prada didn't envision his name associated with a economy brand automobile maker, but that's exactly what's happening! I wrote a little bit about the Hyundai Genesis before but at the time I definitely see this coming. The Prada Genesis will be unveiled at the Seoul Motor Show next April, and will be a limited 1 of 3. Two of the three will be auctioned off for charity. Ballin' on a budget for real for real!

My Birthday IsTomorrow...New Maybach Landaulet Anyone?

"At the Paris Motor Show, Maybach announced it was taking orders for its new open-topped Landaulet at $1.4 million a pop. The car, first floated as a concept at last year's Middle East International Auto Show, seems calculated to appeal to oil-rich sheikhs. In Paris the company displayed its one-off example in Gulf-friendly white with a two-tone Grand Nappa leather interior - black for the chauffeur's compartment and white for the passengers, reinforcing the fact that this car is made for those who do not have to drive themselves.
The hand-built to order Landaulet, ready for delivery later this fall, harkens back to the open-topped limousines that popes and kings used to be driven around in. It's based on the Maybach 62 S, billed as the world's most powerful series-produced luxury saloon. At $1.4 million, the Landaulet, Maybach's fifth model, is second only to the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport in terms of the world's most expensive production cars. No doubt they're hoping the economy improves so they can sell some of them."
Or I could just get that new Hyundai for like a 25th of the price!

Found this at Geekologie. Owner of clothing company A Bathing Ape, Nigo displays his Bape camo Rolls Royce Phantom. Now, given the his extravagant jewelery, this doesn't surprise me, but it clearly shows homie has money burn!
