Stephen Colbert Will Replace David Letterman [TELEVISION]

Comedian Stephen Colbert will be taking over as host of the Late Show, CBS confirmed in a tweet on Thursday.

Colbert is the current host of Comedy Central's The Colbert Report, and is fucking awesome!

Earlier this month, long-time Late Show host David Letterman announced that he would be retiring in 2015. It now begs the question, who/what will replace The Colbert Report? Good question, right?

The Onion x Toronto [MEDIA]

The free satirical U.S. newspaper The Onion hit Toronto newsstands today, bringing along its wry humour and spin on current events. Partnering with The A.V Club Toronto, the weekly paper will have 50,000 copies at 600 locations across the city.

This is the first time The Onion is publishing outside the United States, and Steve Hannah, president and CEO of Onion, Inc., calls it the ideal fit. “It’s an obvious choice,” said Hannah in a telephone interview. “Toronto is a cosmopolitan, sophisticated, hip, cool town. It’s a music town. The film festival, we’ve been covering it for years.”

No you’ll have something cool to read while you’re riding our underfunded public transit system all over town.

Timberlake's William Rast Pseudo Promo Trailers

Justin Timberlake's pseudo promo trailers for his William Rast clothing label are, and I hate to admit it, kind of good. It gives the line a little sexual, violent, and seductive feel which kind of makes me laugh giving that i just saw him play Jaques Grandes in a lame attempt at comedy...and who is the girl GOD DAMN!!!...I'm feeling the videos kind of reminds me of a watered down Natural born Killers meets the Getaway. Enjoy

DEXTER Season 3 ...very cle(a)ver ads!

One of my favourite shows, has done one of my favourite ad campaigns. Showcase's Dexter is promoting the show in about dozen magazines with ads that mimic the covers of those very same magzines. Pictured above are the ads for GQ, New Yorker, Wired, and Esquire, but expect see ads in Rolling Stones, Details, Vanity Fair, Us and others. Anyone use to get your face on a magazine as kid? I had a WWF wrestling mag cover when I was younger, championship belt and all! This ups the ante in a way I've never seen. Dexter Season 3 premieres September 28th.

The New York Times has the full story.
