Alper Yesiltas' Aged Artificial Intelligence Portraits [PHOTOGRAPHY]

A talented AI researcher and artist has brought an array of late celebrities back to life in photo form, as if they were still with us and aging for all these years. Celebrities such as Michael Jackson, Tupac Shakur, and Jimmy Hendrix are among those masterfully recreated by Alper Yesiltas, who believes AI can bring imagination to life – and looking at the photos, it’s hard to disagree.

“When I started tinkering with the technology, I saw what I could do and thought about what would make me the happiest: I wanted to see some of the people I missed again in front of me,” said Yesiltas to My Modern Met blog.

Square May Acquire Jay-Z’s Tidal Streaming Service [TECH]

Square Inc., the digital-payment company run by Jack Dorsey, has held talks to acquire the music-streaming service Tidal as part of a push to diversify, according to a person familiar with the situation.

Dorsey has discussed a potential deal with Jay-Z, the rapper and music mogul who acquired Tidal for $56 million in early 2015, said the person, who asked not to be identified because the talks were private. The negotiations may not result in a transaction.

Square declined to comment, while Tidal didn’t respond to requests for comment.

Apple iPhone 6 Sneak Peek [TECH]

Excitement for Apple’s next-generation iPhone 6 is really starting to build now, and new leaks are coming fast and furious. Supposed schematics for the iPhone 6 leaked from Apple’s manufacturing partners some time ago and as always, third-party protective case makers have been using them to begin designing cases in an effort to get a leg up on the competition. This year, however, people are also using the schematics to build mockups of the iPhone 6, and they may give us a very good idea of what the finished product will look like.

Now, new photos of iPhone 6 mockups have surfaced, potentially showing off all three colors the redesigned iPhone 6 side by side for the first time.

Take a look at the Space Grey, Silver, & Gold mock ups HERE.

BlackBerry 10 Sneak Peek [TECH]

Android, iPhone... the BlackBerry has taken its fair share of heat from its competitors over the last while. This innovative re-haul of their device platform looks like it just might be what it’s going to take to win back some RIM dissidents. The fact that Barack Obama still uses a BlackBerry is just not enough to do it.

Google Announces Chrome OS [GADGETS]

(Probably a fake photo done up by someone with much time on their hands)

Not sure if any of you picked up the Chrome browser, but "The Google on the Internet Machine" is ready unleash the operating system in the second half of 2010 by the same name to bust the windows out your PC!

Google Chrome OS is a new project, separate from Android. Android was designed from the beginning to work across a variety of devices from phones to set-top boxes to netbooks. Google Chrome OS is being created for people who spend most of their time on the web, and is being designed to power computers ranging from small netbooks to full-size desktop systems. While there are areas where Google Chrome OS and Android overlap, we believe choice will drive innovation for the benefit of everyone, including Google.

LG Dick Tracey Watch-Phone

LAS VEGAS — James Bond and Dick Tracy fans are likely to queue up for this soon. The new watch phone from LG is one of the coolest gadgets at the CES 2009 show.

At a press event today, LG USA President Michael Ahn showed a working demo of the device. It's a surprisingly slim watch that has a touchscreen phone, 3G and Bluetooth capabilities. It also has a camera that can take photos and small videos.

Worn on the wrist, the phone looks like any ordinary watch displaying the time but when a call comes in, the screen changes. Just raise your hand a little closer to your mouth, press a button and you can talk into the watch through the speakerphone capability.

The watch phone is expected to go into production mid-year though the company did not offer any details on pricing.

LG To Premiere Skinniest TV at CES [GADGETS]

Not one to keep a low profile LG has been hitting the consumer electronics industry with some heat. It seems ever since they launched the chocolate (I still don't know what the fuss about that phone was for) they have been cranking out a serious series of products. They have upped the ante again by premiering the LH95 at CES, which is an LCD model with an LED backlight and a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. With a thickness of only 24.8mm (0.98") it'll make mounting your TV seem like putting up a poster.

$99 Blackberry Bold! [RETAIL]

I caught this in the weekend circular, and thought the boy Genius would have dropped the news, but I didn’t see it on there. Anyway, I suppose in a strategic move to take away some of the Storm’s thunder (You like that, right?) Rogers in tandem with Future Shop is letting the Blackberry Bold go for a mere $99 on a three-year term! Which is crazy...the new Curve is hitting for almost double. Need a new Blackberry? Cool with a contract, or an extension? I suggest you jump on it...I believe the offer is only good for a limited time.

Check it out HERE.

Knight Rider GPS

The new show is abysmal, but for Knight Rider die hards and geeks alike I present to you the Mio Knight Rider GPS. Fully equipped with the voice of William Daniels and NOT Val Kilmer (shaking it rough, right?)The unit's LCD display has a series of red LEDs which draws a distinct similarity to that of KITT's nose-mounted lights which makes for a cool little gadget. Priced at $270...It might make your pops happy.

Google partnering with phone carriers to take on RIM and Apple

SAN FRANCISCO — Google and T-Mobile unveiled their answer to the iPhone on Tuesday, pulling the wraps off a slick mobile device that combines a touch screen and a keyboard and is aimed at putting the Internet in the pockets of millions of cellphone users.

The T-Mobile G1, which will be available in the United States on Oct. 22, is the first mobile phone to be powered by Google’s Android operating system. It represents a milestone in Google’s efforts to extend its dominance of the PC-based Internet to mobile phones and further loosen the control that wireless carriers have over what consumers can do with their phones.

G10 B*****s!

AHHHHHHH! I was in Best Buy just this afternoon asking about this baby! The rep said probably November, but over at Hype Beast, and other sources I have looked at are noting an October release. That would make another excellent birthday gift! Long story short, this camera is DSLR in a point and shoot body. After I get this bad boy expect some crazy photo op-ed's up in this piece!

Canon PowerShot G10 offers Canon's new DIGIC 4 image processor, a 28mm Optical Image Stabilized 5x zoom lens and RAW mode. As the successor to the PowerShot G9, the Canon PowerShot G10 features a 1/1.7" sensor with a resolution of 14.7 megapixels and a 3-inch LCD screen.

Blackberry Thunder...or Storm...Touchscreen

Had a discussion about Blackberry's the other day, and it seem like for average consumer the device really isn't really that great. A sensation to make someone feel more important than they probably really are. Blackberry messenger after all could simply be equated to sending text messages, and most people don't need push to device e-mail service. That being said, this is the device I have been waiting for! Though after this less than stellar review I have rethink my game plan. A touchscreen from Blackberry....may just be a little out of their pay grade. I'll wait to hear more.
