CNE Opening Day costs just $1.75 [EVENTS]

In celebration of the 175th Anniversary of the City of Toronto, the Canadian National Exhibition launch the 2009 fair with an admission of just $1.75 on Opening Day: Friday, August 21, 2009.

Toronto Mayor David Miller will declare the 131st CNE open at 10 am and there are a number of festivities planned for this special day. In addition to the CNE's full roster of attractions, Opening Day will feature free birthday cupcakes for the first 175 people who visit the CNE Cupcake tent, a special ride offer (10 rides for $17.50) and a variety of concessions and games for $1.75.

The 10 finalists in the Toronto Song Contest will perform at 7 pm that evening on the Midway Stage and following the performances, the judges will proclaim the winner of the Toronto Song Contest!
