MOOZ-lum [TRAILER]
A story about a Muslim boy who comes of age against a politically charged 9/11 backdrop, with deep personal and familial traumas to overcome, and a search for identity that must reconcile his own difficult history with his new changed reality.
With battle of modernity being waged everyday, and the incessant cultural insensitivity made more and more obvious (whether it be religious or otherwise), it's nice to find films that offer up reason as part of their perspective. A reminder that our social truths must transcend our culture.
Mooz-lum Stars Evan Ross, Nia Long, Danny Glover, Roger Guenveur Smith, Summer Bishil & Dorian Missick. It's in limited release so, demand it in your city.
