Usain Bolt Sets A New World Record For Mens 100m [SPORTS]

A performance that solidifies him as the fastest man in the world (Again, as he set the previous world record a year ago with a time of 9.69), Usain Bolt ran the 100m in a mindbusting 9.58 seconds at the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin August 16th 2009. Which coincidentally was exactly 1 year after he set his initial world record. Take look at the footage here.

Toronto Raptors Trade Jermaine O'Neal For Shawn Marion! [SPORTS]

It's probably for the best...welcome to the city Shawn!

After weeks of discussion, the Toronto Raptors have ended their brief experiment with centre Jermaine O'Neal. Sources have confirmed the club has traded O'Neal and swingman Jamario Moon to the Miami Heat for forward Shawn Marion and guard Marcus Banks in a deal designed to free up salary-cap space this summer, and to solidify the team's underperforming small forward position. Toronto will also send a conditional draft pick to Miami, and receive cash considerations.

Toronto City Blues For Sammy...

From Coach Of The Year to we don't want you here! The Toronto Raptors officially canned Mitchell and I must say I had mixed reaction to it. Surprised, yet not so much...I've been preaching that he should go for some time now, but I just didn't expect it to happen. However after a 39 point loss on Tuesday against Denver I suppose that was the straw that broke the camels back.

I am excited to see Jay Triano step in as the interim coach, as well as the first full-time Canadian-born NBA head coach in history!

All things considered I'm confident GM Bryan Colangelo to steer the team out the gutter, and at the current moment he's taking it on the chin like a champ.

"We are not a basketball team or a roster without flaws...I'm wearing this one, just like Sam's wearing it. This falls on me..." Said Colangelo. "Winning is everything."

Ethiopian breaks world record...again.

BERLIN — Haile Gebrselassie broke his own marathon world record on Sunday, becoming the first runner to finish under 2 hours, 4 minutes.

The Ethiopian clocked 2:03:59 to win his third straight Berlin Marathon, beating the mark of 2:04:26 he set last year over the same flat course. He also became the first runner to win the race three times.

"Today, I'm so, so, so happy. Everything was perfect today," Gebrselassie said.

Running under clear, sunny skies in mild temperature, Gebrselassie paced himself well and controlled the race from the start.

The 35-year-old Gebrselassie was way out front as passed through the Brandenburg Gate and ran to the finish line to applause from the crowd lining the route.

Gebrselassie said his training in the buildup to the race was hindered by an injury.

"I had a small calf muscle problem and I stopped for a week, and then I started again a week ago," he said. "Then today I had, you know, some doubts ... but it was really very good."

The Ethiopian praised Berlin and its spectators in helping him break his 26th world record.

How do they do it!? Amazing! LOL Via HuffPo
