Daniel Merriweather - Love & War [MUSIC]

Th Australian crooner, Daniel Merriweather, has quickly become a favourite of mine. I rifled through youtube for a sampling of his catalogue after watching The Ugly Truth and picked out his song; "Chainsaw" that was featured in the film. The debut album is a solid effort, and his sound is very remiscent to some of the greats...Stevie, Prince, D'Angelo...even some Jamiroquai.

Cold Souls [MOVIES]

I can honestly say that I was not impressed with Paul Giamatti's acting chops until I watched, and thoroughly enjoyed the man kill it in the HBO mini series John Adams. That was simply brilliant acting. I had never taken him seriously before that...and with really only remembering him in films like Dr. Dolittle and Big Momma's House, it's easy to see how. Anyway, we've come a long way since then, and my sense of humour has darkened greatly. With that Cold Souls has proven to be an absolute gem of a film. Being John Malkovich x Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind x a brand of witty dialogue that meshes it all together to create a film worth watching...in my opinion. Check it out on iTunes.

2011 Land Rover LRX [CARS]

It was like love at first sight...I've nicknamed this the "Baby-Rover". I have sliden it into a close 2nd (#1 is the Lexus GS) as my favourite vehicle -- though technically this will not hit dealerships until the 3rd quarter of 2011. The concept turned reality is a 2 door SUV rumoured to be a presented as a hybrid equiped with a 3.0 diesel V6 engine and an electric motor turning out up to 25kW. I'm not mad that...I'll take mine with cream on the inside, and clean on the outside.

Presenting: Ian Kamau...he killed this shit! This is big homie from the interlude on K-Os's EXIT album...and others...that's where I first heard of them though...and it stuck.

The last line was:

"Love it Here" is off the newly released mixtape Love & Other Struggles Vol. 3. The video is dope...fat shouts to my homie Shash who put it together. Timing is great...imagery is vivid...the story is classic. I didn't know Ian actually rapped...he's ill. Sounds like a well spoken RZA...dope.

With recent news estimating the cost of the damage in Haiti at up to $14 Billion (that's twice the country's nominal GDP!), every little bit will continue to help. Get dressed up, come out and have a good time for a good cause this Saturday February 20th. Sak pasé? Map boulé!

As many of you know on January 13th, 2010 the nation of Haiti was drastically change after a 8.0 earthquake hit the island. 10's to 100's of thousands of life lifes were lost, and many were left homeless, and searching for lost family members and friends.

Analyst say it will be 10 plus years before Haiti is broght back to some kind of normalcy. In that time they need as much help as possible. On Saturday Febuary 20th, 2010 I ask all of you come out to Lobby to help raise funds for this beautiful nation, 100% of your money will be donated to the Red Cross.

This money will be used to help with ongoing efforts in Haiti.
